I’m Monique Stephens, a children’s book editor, editorial consultant, and author with more than two decades of experience acquiring, developing, editing, and writing books for major publishers including Scholastic, Penguin, Chronicle Books, and HarperCollins.
I’ve edited everything from board books and picture books to chapter books, middle-grade novels, and YA fiction. Along the way, I’ve developed dozens of successful projects—including a New York Times Bestseller—and personally acquired and edited hundreds of children’s manuscripts.
